Salt Lake City International Airport Terminal Redevelopment
The Salt Lake City Department of Airports $4 billion redevelopment program is the first new hub airport built in the U.S. in the 21st century. The first phase opened in the Fall of 2020, and the second phase is scheduled to open in 2023. The build out of the “New SLC” accommodates 26 million passengers annually and replaced the former facilities with two new linear concourses. Holder-Big-D (HDJV), a joint venture was the CMAR for the construction of all new rental car facilities, the central terminal, the South Concourse (47 gates), the 3,600-car parking garage, new roadways, tunnels, underground utilities, jet fueling system, airfield paving, and the central utility plant. HDJV is currently working on Phase II of the project.
